Carlos Sánchez
After years elaborating in Gredos, Carlos Sánchez found in the Sonsierra Riojana his place in the world. Training professor, his fondness for wine and oenology led him to enroll in oenology and start elaborating in areas of areas such as Méntrida or Gredos, where he began to make his own wines.
His obsession with beauty and perfection attracted his gaze to Rioja, where he installed definitively in 2018, with the aim of starting a personal project, deeply rooted in the terroir.
Since then, his dream of rescuing and enhancing the essence of small plots located in Labastida and San Vicente de la Sonsierra pursues, turning them into liquid poems that invite you to drink (read?) Between the lines and to discover an authentic river.

Carlos Sánchez has found in these two villages of the Sonsierra the perfect scenario to make wines that express the greatness and diversity of Rioja. Since his arrival he has overturned his energy in recovering old vineyards with which to honor the uniqueness of his calcareous soils, his landscapes, his grapes, his people ... always from respecting the origin and tradition of this millenary wine zone.
Ecological philosophy and
biodynamic principles
Carlos Sánchez's project is a declaration of love of Terroir. Hence its commitment to an organic and biodinamic viticulture that respects and celebrates each hue of the ground. Sánchez cultivates his vineyards with almost ritual care, allowing each cluster to retain the secret of its origin, as if each grape were a word in a verse dedicated to the purity of nature.
Minimum intervention
Carlos continues in his project with the philosophy of minimal intervention in the elaboration of wines acquired in Gredos, respecting the authenticity of the terroir and the local varieties. Its vinification style is characterized by transparency and the absence of technological touch -ups, looking for wines with crunchy fruit, easy to drink, which with elegance express the mineral nuances and the complexity of each plot.
